Welcome hōm
Our center was founded with the vision of helping you reconnect — to your own body, heart & mind, to others, and to the world.
Staisha Grosch
Licensed PTA, CYT, Neurogenic yoga and TRE provider, rehabilitative pilates specialist, craniosacral therapist, and NASM certified Personal Trainer.
Staisha comes from an extensive movement background and years of experience working with people of all ages and physical capabilities in a therapeutic setting. Her empathetic nature, relatable style, sense of humor, and vast knowledge of the body lends itself to safe and effective movement practices in a nurturing environment. Staisha integrates her personal investigation and experiences through movement with her education in mindfulness practices, modern treatment modalities, trauma therapy, and various other somatically focused techniques, to help each individual reconnect with their body.
Staisha began practicing yoga at a very young age and completed her yoga teacher training in 2003 with Larry Schultz at “It’s Yoga” in San Francisco. Over the past several years, Staisha has taught yoga to a wide variety of audiences throughout South Florida, including trauma-informed yoga and mindfulness practices in treatment centers for those in recovery from addiction. In 2018 she completed a year-long, intensive, certification process to become a Neurogenic Yoga™ and TRE™ provider, revolutionary techniques that help to release the deep chronic tension created in the body during a traumatic experience.
Staisha spent a large part of the last 13 years working in the field of physical therapy while also woking towards earning her Bachelors of Science in Psychology degree from Oregon State University. She maintains an active physical therapist assistant license in both Florida and California. Prior to moving back to Florida and pursuing a career in physical therapy, Staisha earned her living as a professional ballet dancer with San Francisco Ballet, Cincinnati Ballet, and Oregon Ballet Theatre.
Chaim is a Dharma teacher, mindfulness instructor, and trauma practitioner.
Integrating Buddhist teachings & practices with modern healing modalities, his approach is fueled by a deep curiosity about what it means to be human — mentally, emotionally, somatically, and relationally — and how we can tap into and expand our innate capacities for healing, growth, and connection to live more authentic, meaningful lives.
Chaim first trained to facilitate meditation groups under the guidance of JoAnna Hardy and Vinny Ferraro at Against the Stream Buddhist Meditation Society, and received Buddhist lay ordination and empowerment as a Dharma teacher (Dharmacharya) in both Theravada and Mahayana lineages from the Venerable Pannavati Bhikkhuni and the late Ashin U Pannadipa.
Chaim is a certified practitioner of the NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM) for the healing of complex and developmental trauma, and has completed a three-year training in Somatic Experiencing, a body-based system for trauma resolution. He is available for individual instruction and coaching support in mindfulness, trauma resolution, and Dharma mentorship.
Chaim holds a bachelor’s degree in religious studies from the Rabbinical College of America, and a J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. Prior to his arrival in South Florida, Chaim worked as a federal prosecutor in Washington, DC.
Greg Nardi
Greg’s teaching draws from his 24+ years of personal practice, ongoing self-study into academic research of contemporary and traditional Yoga. He also draws deeply from his studies of sanskrit chanting and yoga philosophy in Mysore, India and asana at the KPJAYI. He is the director of Ashtanga Yoga Worldwide, teaching yoga practice, theory and philosophy internationally.
In 2018 Greg chose to resign his authorization from the KPJAYI to be in integrity with his core values about teaching, learning and life. He has been studying at the Kripalu School of Integrated Yoga Therapy and uses therapeutic principles in teaching Ashtanga Yoga. He works with his colleagues at Amāyu yoga developing an organization and learning pathway for Ashtanga teachers that is consent driven, practitioner centered, and based in practitioner empowerment.
“I believe in the healing power of yoga for all. My style of teaching assists students in finding an approach to the practice that is most beneficial for them.”
Boris
Meet Boris! He is a man of few words with a BIG personality. He co-facilitates South Florida Insight Collective and Yoga Punx with his mum, Staisha.
Boris is a certified therapy dog but prefers to think of himself as a super supportive friend. He does some pretty cool tricks if you bribe him with treats but often times he’s way more excited to see members of his sangha than he is to perform. He’s our comic relief and affectionate friend.
Boris is dearly loved by all even though he has trouble controlling his licker. No offense to Chaim or Staisha, but he’s definitely the community favorite.
