Meditation: What is it, how do I do it, and why? What skills am I developing, what qualities am I cultivating, and how do they translate into my everyday life?
This class explores the meditator’s toolkit for cultivating presence, embodiment, ease, and the expansion of the heart to help you flourish in your life and on the path. Each session begins with an overview, providing a framework for how the practice can be used to work with our mental, emotional, and physical landscape, followed by a period of meditation to put the theory into practice. Each practice period is followed by Q&A and group discussion to process our experience. Topics and practice-focus vary, and include the development of attention, embodied presence, mental calm, emotional balance, self-compassion, and the boundless qualities of heart.
No prior meditation experience necessary.
